AMR International supports Penta Capital with acquisition of Blues Clothing Limited
Blues Clothing Limited is the leading provider of children’s licensed
character clothing in the UK. It provides best-selling character products
(such as Disney characters, Spiderman and Bratz) to the leading retail
outlets including the major grocery retailers.
AMR’s previous experience of the character licensing industry
proved invaluable in getting to grips with this specialist market,
particularly given the lack of reliable published data within the niche.
We conducted in-depth interviews with the leading license owners,
agents and retailers, and designed a mystery-shopping exercise to
provide a complete 360 degree view of the business.
Penta Capital acquired a majority stake in Blues Clothing Limited
through an MBO of undisclosed value.
