High oil prices mean that investors are increasingly viewing solar power as an attractive investment.
Grid parity, the point at which photovoltaic electricity is equal to or cheaper than electricity from the grid, has already been reached in some areas and is set to be reached in most of Europe by 2015 indicating that solar power will enter the mainstream of power generation.
