Tim Hart
Consultant – New York

I joined AMR International’s London office in June 2004 as a researcher. I had recently graduated from Cambridge University in History, and had spent some time working in pharmaceutical sales.

In January 2005 I was promoted to consultant, before transferring to our New York office in November 2005.

AMR International’s focus is very much on taking responsibility early on, and the variety of work and rapid career progression makes working here a rewarding experience. Moving to New York has let me take my career in a new direction, and is a great example of the breadth of opportunity offered to employees at AMR.

On a daily basis I could find myself analysing project data, coordinating our teams of associates, writing reports or dashing around Manhattan to client meetings. One thing is for sure; life at AMR is never dull!

Lucinda Nicholson
Consultant – London

I joined AMR as a researcher in January 2006 having graduated from Oxford with a degree in Classics and French, and following a year working in business development and three months of travelling in South America.

I was keen to find a consulting job in which I could use my language skills and AMR provided the perfect opportunity. Since joining, I have worked on a variety of French projects from an acquisition search in the cosmetics industry, to a CDD on heat pumps and water treatment to, most recently, a VCDD for a holiday park business in the South of France, which even involved a night in a mobile home.

The work at AMR is very varied and the early responsibility given to new recruits means that you learn a lot very quickly. After just three months I was put in charge of managing a team conducting a CDD on a catering business, an experience which was fairly terrifying at the time but such an achievement once I’d actually done it.
